1440p/60Hz first time building [UK] pc building site custom pc builder

Build Help:

This is my first PC build, would like to play 1440p at 60hz. If there's a way to make this cheaper, I'd love to hear!

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

Will be using to work on my Computer Science degree, as well as gaming. I will be dual booting Windows 10/Arch Linux

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)

1440p with at 60fps on high/ultra mode for new titles

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

I'm aiming for £1500 including peripherals but don't mind spending a few hundred more. Don't want to go above £1800

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

There's no mouse or speakers in this build. This is because I plan on using my current mouse and speakers. If this can be made cheaper with an easy adjustment, I'd love to hear. I've got two 1TB hard drives because I intend to set them up in RAID so I can have a backup of my data

Thanks :)
