AMD Processors and ATX Cases pc building site custom pc builder

I am on the point of buying my next build, with thanks to the Reddit community, I am choosing to go with the Ryzen 5 1600X instead of my initial choice of the Intel i5-6700k.

My questions that I have at the final stage are:

What benefits does the Ryzen 5 1600X have over say the FX9590 Black 8-Core AM3+ CPU or the AMD FX6300 Hex Core CPU?

I am aware the Ryzen 5 uses the newer AM4 Socket, but I am interested in whether the Ryzen 5 is actually worth the upgrade as the FX6300 is about the same specs on the surface and could be a cheaper upgrade. I believe there's going to be quite a bit related to the infra-structure of the CPU which is what I'm interested in knowing, as I'd like to know the Ryzen 5 is worth the upgrade.

Secondly, I am having some real trouble choosing a case that will fit the motherboard below. Since I am planning on getting a GTX 1070 as well, I am unsure what to look for in a case, since a lot of them say ATX but actually seems to have a lot less room than I need. Are there any easy ways to idenfity cases that will fit this specification?
