Currently have a GTX 1060, but considering a 1070? pc building site custom pc builder

Hello all,

I am off to university in September, and am reviewing my systems' specifications, making sure that the hardware inside will do me a good service during the four years of university.

The specifications are as follows: - Gigabyte Z270-Gaming K3 Motherboard - Intel Core i7-7700k @4.45Ghz Processor - 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Memory @3000Mhz - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Now the item in question is the graphics card. With the other pieces of hardware undoubtedly being sufficient for these next four years.

However, the graphics card is where I get stuck, with it being entry level card for the 10 series cards. Thus, I have hinted at the purchase of a GTX 1070. Or is the 1060 sufficient enough. With university coming up ever so soon.

I'd love to hear what you all think.

Many thanks,

Ted :)
