I am in need in an upgrade but also need help. My first option is the r5 1600 with a b350 motherboard and some 16 gb ram. BUT (dont make fun of me) all the b350 boards are ugly. So thats the main problem for me. The second option, and probably worst, is an i5 7640x and some overpriced x299 motherboard and some 16gb ram. The i5 x just cant justify the 300 dollar price tag for a motherboard. The last option is to buy an i5 7600k, some good looking and good performing z270 motherboard. All of the processors mentioned will be overclocked to full potential. These arent the only options either. If you guys have better ideas, which im sure you do feel free to mention. (ie: i7 5820k, i7, r7 etc...) My budget for said upgrade is probably $550, maybe $600.
