I got the AM4 X bracket from Cooler Master. Supposedly this is all you need to mount the cooler to the AM4.

Their guide on installation is not at all specific about a backplate.

I cannot find any youtube videos on people doing anything other than the LGA 1151/AM3 installations, nor can I find anyone discussing how to fit this X bracket with the backplate.

The standoffs fit, but there is room for the backplate to move. There is no washer or anything to fill that gap and keep it stationary.

Will this work when the cooler is actually being screwed in under the X bracket? Has anyone had any experience with this component?
