Upgrading my PC to hopefully get VR in the future, for now just for better performance. pc building site custom pc builder

Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

Gaming, hoping to get an Oculus/Vive in the future. Also playing The Witcher 3, Just Cause 3, Rocket League, Mirage: Arcane Warfare

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)

1080p, 60fps+, happy with turning down settings a little for performance.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

ballpark ~£500 (~$650)

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

Post a draft of your potential build here.

Provide any additional details you wish below.

I already have a PC with some things I can reuse:

MSI Radeon RX 580 4GB Gaming X

Chouriki 2 Plug-in 1000W semi-modular power supply. I don't know whether to replace this as it is quite old, and has not the best ratings, but it supplies enough power and seems ok? If I were to replace, would the Corsair TXM Gold 550W be a good choice?

4 512GB hard drives (they were running RAID 10/01), but I'd like an SSD too.

All the peripherals

The CPU (AMD Phenom II X4 965) and motherboard (Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H (Socket M2)) are mainly what I need to replace (& RAM), so this is my build! Any comments would be appreciated :)
